We’re stoked to announce that Journeys to Adäka was an early pick as a Mountain Culture finalist for Banff Mountain Film Festival. At its heart, this film is the inspiring story about 7 cultural leaders who hail from the mountains of Canada’s Yukon. We’re so excited that their important and timely stories will be seen by the audiences at Banff.
2017-10-10 – SCREENING IN YELLOWKNIFE, NWT
Journeys to Adäka is going to the Yellowknife International Film Festival. Join the film’s director Fritz Mueller and Adaka Cultural Festival president Shirlee Frost on October 25 for an Opening Night co-screening with The Last Walk.
2017-10-03 – SCREENING AT AIFF IN SAN FRANCISCO
Today’s news was an invitation to the American Indian Film Institute’s 42nd annual film festival in San Francisco in November. Journeys to Adäka joins a lineup that includes great Canadian films The Road Forward, The Sun at Midnight, and Rumble.
2017-09-10 – SCREENING IN OTTAWA ON SEPT 30
Journeys to Adäka will have its Ottawa premiere at the One World Film Festival on Sat. Sept 30. One of Ottawa’s oldest film festivals, One World showcases thought-provoking documentaries that focus on a variety of important global issues. It’s an honour to be in the company of such compelling stories.

Journeys to Adäka has been invited to screen at Byron Bay International Film Festival in October! An invitation to premiere at Byron Bay is amazing news, and we can’t wait to share this special Yukon story with audiences on the other side of the world.

Join us as we screen the film in beautiful Atlin, BC on Saturday July 8 alongside Marie Clement’s powerful documentary, The Road Forward.

2017-04-14 – COMMUNITY SCREENING ON MAY 14Mother’s Day will be extra special as we will be screening Journeys to Adäka for the community that gave us the opportunity to make this special film. Join us at the Yukon Arts Centre for a screening, followed by Q&A and a dessert reception. Cast and crew will be in attendance.

Journeys to Adäka is one of five Arts & Culture documentaries that has been nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award! The winner will be announced at Yorkton Film Festival, which North America’s longest running film festival and recognizes Canadian productions under 60 minutes in length.
